So today eye was wondering, why is the Gensokyo world so filled with European culture? Eye'm not raging -in fact eye like it- it's just that the amount of non-Oriental stuff is rather high in comparison to the average animu conworld. I mean:

- The whole Scarlet Devil Mansion has little to none Oriental style, neither in architecture nor furniture nor the clothes of its occupants. In fact, according to the IaMP backgrounds and Touhou mangas, the whole building has a Gothic style.

- Remilia, Marisa, Flandre, Alice, Patchouli, the three Prismriver sisters plus the unseen Layla, Rumia, Wriggle, Mystia - all of those names have either Anglo-Saxon or Latin origins.

- The houses of the Forest of Magic are often depicted as built like European houses.

- The dresses of a lot of Touhoes are more linked to the Renaissance-Industrial Age that lоlitаs mimick than to Japanese clothes of any era.
