Ran it for two straight months with plenty of x86 and x86-64 software, not a blue screen one. Record uptime was about 15 days before a restart to apply some updates.
Faster on my 3GB E6300 than Vista or 7 were.

cool cool

was just asking cause i had heard that win xp was only good as 32bit system and that for 64bit one should rather use 7

why bsd?
>> No. 93
bsd has a few dedicated people working on it, while linux has perhaps thousands of developers from across the globe adding different pieces. Therefore BSD has, in my experience, been more streamlined, secure and stable than linux. Also, with the emergence of pc-bsd, a very user-friendly operating system has emerged with perhaps the easiest-to-use package management system ever (pbi), as opposed to the dependency hell that some linux users fall into. Granted, it does not support as many applications as linux, but it delivers your fundamental computing applications well and, let's face it, if you need to use your os for some other tasks, such as gaming, you're better off with windows.

WOW this was a long post...

Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal. So nice! Runs much better than Win7 did, and I'm glad to have converted. ^_~

Ubuntu, cause it's what we use at work.
